Facilities & Upgrades
Your course has three facility types. Each one affects a different aspect of your course's performance. Upgrading facilities costs XP — all of which is burned permanently.
Facility Types
Driving Range
Stat: Training
Training boosts the XP multiplier your golfer earns from completed rounds. A well-equipped driving range means every round is more rewarding.
- XP multiplier:
1.0 + (training * 0.003) - At max training, your golfer earns roughly 1.3x the base XP per round
Practice Green
Stat: Condition
Course condition affects shot dispersion for golfers playing your course. Better condition means tighter shot accuracy — golfers play better on well-maintained courses.
- Dispersion modifier:
1.0 - (condition * 0.003) - Higher condition attracts better players who value consistent playing surfaces
Clubhouse
Stat: Appeal
Appeal determines the maximum green fee you can charge. A prestigious clubhouse justifies premium pricing.
- Green fee cap:
(100 + appeal * 4) * (holes >= 18 ? 1.0 : 0.5) - Courses with fewer than 18 placed holes have half the fee cap
Upgrade Tiers
Each facility upgrades through 6 tiers (1-6):
| Tier | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 → 2 | 2,000 XP |
| 2 → 3 | 6,000 XP |
| 3 → 4 | 15,000 XP |
| 4 → 5 | 30,000 XP |
| 5 → 6 | 55,000 XP |
All XP spent on upgrades is burned. Choose your upgrade path based on your strategy — revenue (Clubhouse), golfer earnings (Driving Range), or course quality (Practice Green).
Additional Holes
You start with 18 hole NFTs. Want more variety? Purchase additional holes:
| Hole Count | Cost per Hole |
|---|---|
| 19-26 | 5,000 XP |
| 27-35 | 10,000 XP |
| 36-44 | 20,000 XP |
| 45+ | 35,000 XP |
More placed holes also affect your green fee cap — courses with 18+ placed holes get the full fee multiplier.
